In early May the new SESSION Megastore was opened after three years of construction, and then, at Pentecost, the "Walldorf Rock'n'Roll Weekender 2012" brought everybody "back to the 50s". Approx. 1000 Rock'n'Roller from Germany and all over Europe came together for the 13th annual Walldorf Weekender at the Session in 69190 Walldorf, Germany.

More than 100 classic cars, hot rods and bikes from the 40s and 50s, 50s market place with shoemaker, hairdresser and several rockabilly clothing brands, a double bass workshop and free dance lessons took place. If that was not enough, you could watch a tiki carver, working with a chainsaw on a stately tree to make a beautiful Tiki, or the Pinstripers painting on Hot Rods or Classic Cars.

20 bands from the USA, England, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland and Germany plus 10 DJs from Germany, France and England were rockin? and rollin? four days and nights at the Session. With Si Cranstoun, performing his mega-hit "Dynamo". He was on top of the rockin? charts for months - and had lain down two great performances in April in Las Vegas on the Rockabilly Weekend - also the Swiss-Austrian band "Mars Attacks", who toured Australia in April / May 2012 to promote their latest album "Recaptured". Saxophone legend Ray Gelato, who accompanied his friend and bandleader Jackson Sloan plus Hollywood star Pep Torres - latest here the stage burned?.

From authentic over neo-rockabilly, swing-jive, jump blues or blues bopper, country or western, rock and roll ? something for everyone, real music.

If you missed this terrific weekend: organizer Andy Widder publishes since 2008 annually a CD with one studio song of each participating band?
