Part Records, based in Germany, is well-known as one of the finest rockabilly labels on the planet. They occasionally release a surf/instro disc, but rockabilly is really their forte. In addition to running an excellent label, each year they take on the gargantuan task of putting on an epic music festival. This disc contains 21 songs, all from bands that performed last year. These are the original recordings, giving you a taste of the talent that performed, while at the same time showcasing some of the top combos of the last few years. The festivities kick off with Blind Rage & Violence, Deke Dickerson's Link Wray tribute act, and really don't slow down a bit all the way through The Adels, with "Claitus Song" (which is nearly a dead-ringer for Ronnie Dawson's "Monkey Beat City"). Along the way you also get tunes from faves like Los Straitjackets, Deke Dickerson, and Big Sandy.
