With their third album release the Prowlers again present strong Rockabilly tracks in the typical Prowlers style, fully meeting the expectations raised by their universally acclaimed last album, "Hot Sauce". The band around the lead singer Paul "Greggs" Gregory comes from the Southwest of England, and each member has been on the Rockabilly scene for almost 20 years, playing in many well-known bands such as the Riot Rockers, the Rough Diamonds or the Hubcabs.
On the new CD the band premiers with a changed line-up and now features Ian Hibbet on drums and Upton Lovell on bass.
"Last Man Standing" contains 20 previously unreleased songs, 17 of which are original, self-penned songs by Paul Gregory and Robert Thomas, the lead guitarist. The three covers are Wayne Walker's "All I Can Do Is Cry", Autry Inman's "Be Bop Baby" as well as Bob Dylan's "It's All Over Now Baby Blue", which receives a Prowlers-style Rockabilly treatment. Although all the original tracks are of high quality, "Can't Hardly Stand It", "I Just Can't Win" and "Rumble of Thunder" are especially outstanding, the latter having become a favourite of many club DJs. So, with their third album release, the Prowlers again prove their skills as songwriters and musicians - and that they have succeeded in keeping Rockabilly real.
