For many years the CADCATZ are one of the most popular bands of the European Rock’n’Roll scene. They present Rockabilly, Rock’n’Roll as well as Surf instrumentals in the sound of the 50s and early 60s.
For more than 10 years now the CADCATZ have been on the road with Rock’n’Roll and Rockabilly and have made a name of themselves through many gigs at clubs, parties and festivals throughout Europe as well as through a number of releases on records, CDs and samplers that have been very successful in the Rock’n’Roll scene.
With songs by artists such as Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Dick Dale, Link Wray as well as several self-penned songs, their blend of Rockabilly, Rock’n’Roll and Surf guarantees a tremendous party atmosphere at their concerts. The impressive CADCATZ style is characterized especially by the varied rhythms and a ”Shadows”-like guitar sound.
The new CD "The Drifter" contains 13 previously unreleased songs, 8 of which are new recordings - including one live track - while 5 songs were already recorded in 1995. On this new CD the band mixes Rock’n’Roll, Rockabilly and Surf for the first time. Apart from typical Rockbilly/Rock’n’Roll tunes that have been characteristic for the Cadcatz the new CD also contains Surf instrumentals as they are known, for example, from the movie ”Pulp Fiction”. The success and the new album prove that is was a good thing to continue this well-known band.
