THE B-SHAKERS - We don't stir - We shake!

Although they have dedicated themselves to the "old" music: To compare The B-Shakers with an old, dusty radio would probably not be appropriate. On the contrary: their sound comes across like a powerful snorting, sparking steam locomotive. Unstoppable, the iron horse makes its way through the endless expanses and brings honest and infectious rockabilly sound.

On May 7th the new album SHAKER ATTACK will hit the stores. A diverse disc with twelve songs, eleven of them original compositions, which was recorded live in the Vintage Studio of Blackshack Recordings (GER). You can feel this live feel-good feeling and it makes you shake. The raw, unpolished sound together with the exceptional voice of Mary The Cat fit like a glove.

1. When I Mess Around (With You)
2. Rocket Gal
3. Shaker Attack
4. I Wanna Boogie
5. Before I Leave My Dear Alone

8. Chicken Circus
9. Kiss Me

SHAKER ATTACK - The name says it all! Since the concert situation is only slowly improving, we will bring the concert to your home on two weekends in May. (Info: www.b-shakers.com)
THE B-SHAKERS were founded in 2008 in a small rehearsal room, which was barely tolerated by their parents. Responsible for this was Dick Brave & The Backbeats, who brought the rockabilly sound back into the mainstream. He recalled encounters that the musicians made in childhood with the sound of Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Elvis, Dick Dale, Wanda Jackson or other legends of yesteryear. This sound simply fascinated, pleases young and old and spreads good mood. And of course it had something rebellious, wild.
The first songs were cover songs. But at some point the attraction and the demand were there to write songs themselves and to develop their own B-Shakers style. But the old masters still inspire THE B-SHAKERS and flow into the songwriting. So the sound of the band is very broad. It goes from Rockabilly to Blues, Country to Surf. They play what makes fun and you can see this joy on stage. Another inspiring artist from our time is Imelda May.

After various changes on guitar and vocals, the band now consists of
Mary Vogel (voc, a-guit)
Thomas Grenacher (e-guit)
Philipp Oeggerli (db, e-bass)
Roger Meier (drums)

By the way, shortly after joining THE B-SHAKERS, Mary was a finalist on The Voice of Switzerland and could be seen and heard in Germany in May on "I see your voice" (RTL, Matz Mutzke, Tim Mälzer and others).
Among the highlights of the band are various performances at open airs and festivals in Switzerland and neighboring countries. Also the concert tour with the converted fire department bus, when we played 57 concerts on three weekends, remains in best memory. But we especially like club gigs with dancing audience, smell of sweat and beer and dripping walls.
Soon also on a stage near you....
